Did I say I love Daiso snacks too!!? I had bought 6 Daiso snacks from my recent trip to Daiso IMM. It is the largest Daiso outlet in Singapore I believed and also have a large variety of things there. So here goes!
1. Harvest Almond Thins
If you love almonds thins, you might want to try this. I picked this up because could actually smell the biscuit on the rack even without opening the packet. I am a fan of almonds, so naturally I will pick this one. This packet comes with 8 small packets of biscuit and in this small packet it comes with 4 thin biscuits sprinkled with coarse sugar.
This is really addictive. I like it because, it have a slightly rough texture and you can actually see some small grain fiber in it. Like a combination of a digestive biscuit in a regular tea biscuit. Also, the smell of the almond is not too overpowering. The caramel in the biscuit is actually more distinctive then almonds. It somehow taste like the caramel corn curl from the same brand without the greasy feeling.
Conclusion:
Taste awesome but the only downside is it have alot of crumps when you bite into it. So do prepare a plate when you eat this.

2. Chocolate Golusia
This is my least favorite of all snacks I have gotten from Daiso so far. It contains 8 packets in a small box that comes with a cut out handles. In each packet there is only 1 wafer chocolate cream sandwich. Its not really economical because there is only 8 pieces. I bought it because I thought the wafer would taste like the almond parfait wafer which my colleague had bought for me from Japan.
It don't taste great because the wafer is really hard. Its texture is also not something that I would prefer. The chocolate cream in the center taste like the cream that you could get from Kong Guan wafer biscuit. Sweet and greasy feeling. The combination is not very well done, though it smells great.
Conclusion:
Don't like the taste but smell good. Packaging is cute.

3. Tohato Caramel Corn
I am sure everyone know this product. It is quite popular. If you enter Daiso, you might see a special rack just for this snack. They comes in 2 sizes, the original size and the jumbo size. The packaging for jumbo size is cuter, so I bought it. YEAH~! HAHAH! It also peanuts inside.
Yah.. I know its quite funny isn't it? 2 different size of the same stuff??! Anywayz, let's find out how it taste maybe I next time I can try the smaller version of it just to see how similar they are.

The pack come with many huge piece snack, almost all of them is 5 CM LONG,!!! I couldn't finish it in 1 bite, unless I open my mouth big enough to put the food in which is quite unglam.. HAHA! I am eating it outside therefore got to look glamorous, okie?! The peanuts taste good with the caramel corn, the combination gives it a nice favoring to it. Overall Caramel corn taste great but it is also slightly greasy and sweet
Conclusion:
Taste awesome. May feel too much grease and heavy sugar rush after finishing the entire packet of snack at one go.

4. Soya Sauce Rice Cracker
When we talks about Japanese snacks, it is commonly associate to grill soya sauce rice cracker that comes together with roasted seaweed, either sprinklers on the cracker or wrap with it. This packet of snacks come with a mixture of the seaweed sprinkled soya sauce coated rice cracker and also original ones.
There are only a few pieces of the soya sauce with seaweed sprinkled cracker inside the packet, alot of them are the original flavour. The soya sauce coating on the rice cracker is not thick, therefore I feel that it is not marinated well enough as much as I would prefer. This is because the rice cracker is thick, so after a few chews the rice cracker took over your mouth and there are very little soya sauce left to taste. Also the rice cracker is relatively dry so a beverage to go with this snack will be great.
Conclusion
I would prefer it to be coated well with soya sauce so that the rice cracker will not taste too bland.

5. Curry Flavored Rice Cracker
If I buy this type of Japanese snacks from the supermarket, it will usually come with a packet of sugary and glossy coated cracker with prawn and sotong flavouring. It will taste sweet on the outside and very savory overall taste. This packet here however, is not the usual that you will get from the supermarket. It is coated with curry powder, so it does't have the sugar glossy coating on the outer layer of the cracker. Smells really good when I open the packet.
The curry powder gives it a really salty curry taste. Smell and taste good. A bit on the salty side.
Conclusion
I would will prefer it be the sweeter version instead of the salty version of this type of cracker. Cracker taste slightly bland.
